GT Tonglet, one of the most recognized names associated with professional motorcycle drag racing.

GT has been around racing all his life. His father Gary Sr. also drag raced professionally and had numerous wins throughout his professional career. One could say that GT was born with racing motorcycles in his blood.

GT at only age three learned how to ride a motorcycle before he even learned how to ride a bicycle.  His love affair with motorcycles continued from their competing and winning in various local and regional races over the years. At 14, GT became crew chief for his Dad’s NHRA team. Making him the youngest crew chief in the sport.

At 16, GT won his first professional national event at an IDBA Race in Shreveport Louisiana. Then at the NHRA national in ST Louis in 2001,GT made history to become the youngest rider to win an NHRA national event in the history of the sport.

To top that off , later in the same year GT was signed by Harley-Davidson motor company and Vance & Hines Racing to be one of the first two riders to command Harley-Davidson’s new NHRA Pro-Stock  drag bike for the 2002 NHRA season.

Over the next four years GT Tonglet set records and won more events engraving his name and place in motorcycle Pro-Stock drag racing history.
